Hello everyone! If you’ve seen my other pictures you’ll know that I’m a really big fan of Full Body Casts. Sooo, when I saw Excilions most recent picture of Erin in an FBC I couldn’t help but make a Fanart. I felt a little bad that Erin didn’t have any similarly casted friends to talk to so I’m also using this picture to introduce a potential new character, Becca. Although this is probably the only time I will be drawing Erin (I don’t want to encroach too much on other peoples characters) Becca may return in future pictures and stories. I know you guys might want some diversity in my cast pictures so the next few pictures I upload will not be of Full Body Casts hahaa. I’ve included a short story below for Becca and Erin.

Becca had always been an avid Skateboarder. Her reckless stunts always ended up with her trapped in some kind of plaster cast. However, she rarely let broken bones stop her. More often than not, you could find Becca at the skate park riding around with arms and legs in plaster. At one point, Becca was even seen skateboarding around in two long leg casts. It looked ridiculous and was probably both painful and difficult… but Becca would do anything to be up and out of the house.
Unfortunately, Becca’s most recent stunt may have been a little too ambitious. She had planned to jump the local highway. She practiced for weeks and had planned everything out perfectly. Finally, after all the preparation, it was finally time for the jump. She started at the top of a nearby hill, gained speed as she skateboarded down, and skillfully blasted off the ramp. It seemed like a perfect jump! However, what Becca hadn’t planned for, was the cargo truck (twice as tall as a normal car) that was driving by at the time. She was in the air just long enough to see the top of the truck coming at her… and then she woke up in the hospital.
Becca’s incredibly active lifestyle would have to be put on hold. Becca’s broken body was now covered in a sea of white plaster. She listened as the nurse listed her various injuries.
“Two injured vertebrae in the neck and back, three broken ribs, two broken femurs, two broken wrists, broken pelvis…” the list went on and on.
In addition, the Nurse listed the various casts that she was trapped in.
“Two long arm casts, a partial Minerva cast, two long leg casts…”
Becca was a little annoyed by the Nurse’s in-depth analysis of her injuries and casts. She didn’t understand why the nurse was beating around the bush with these silly cast names - she was in a Full Body Cast. It was short, simple, and devastating.
Now Becca would have to spend the entirety of her day lying in her hospital bed – which, incidentally, was one of her absolute LEAST favorite places to be. To her dismay, she was completely helpless and had to be washed, fed, and changed by nurses. Becca absolutely hated being treated like a baby but now she was stuck in bed, forced to wear a diaper, and had to be spoon-fed the majority of her meals. To make matters worse, the nurses even spoke to her like a baby! They always spoke to her in a cutsie, singsong tone saying things like…
When she needed to be changed…
“Oopsie, looks like someone needs to be changeddd”.
When it was time to eat…
“Time to eaaat. Open up for the traaain”.
Or whenever she got upset about something…
Oooh, looks like someone’s throwing a tantrum”.
In addition to treating her like a baby… her nurses were incredibly boring and overprotective. Despite Becca’s constant pleas the nurses claimed it was too dangerous for her to leave her hospital room. They wouldn’t even allow her into the hospital hall…. Let alone outside into the sun and fresh air (which she was desperate for). They also limited her visitation hours – claiming that too much excitement or interaction with her friends would be exhausting and detrimental to her health… Becca spent almost the entirety of her day staring at the hospital ceiling. (There were 25 ceiling tiles in case you were wondering – Becca spent an unfortunate amount of time counting them). The boredom was unbearable… and Becca felt very lonely.
One day, while Becca was lying in her hospital bed, she overheard the nurses talking about another patient. From what she could hear, another girl had just been admitted to the hospital in a Full Body Cast! Becca immediately wanted to meet her. She would finally have someone else to talk to and, more importantly, she would have someone who would understand how awful being trapped in a Full Body Cast was!
Becca made sure to ask about it as soon as one of her Nurse’s came to feed her lunch. “Nurse, I heard that there’s another girl here in a Full Body Cast! Is it true?” Becca asked eagerly.
“Well, I’m not sure how you heard that” the Nurse answered, surprised “But yes, a girl named Erin was just admitted to this ward in a Full Body Cast”.
Becca smiled excitedly “Oh please, please, pleeease can I go meet her.”
The Nurse looked at her condescendingly “Now Becca” She said in her stern, motherly tone. “You know the rules. You have to stay here in bed if you want to get better. Imagine what would happen if we just wheeled you around the hospital all willy-nilly.”
Becca continued to beg and plea. She desperately wanted to meet Erin and just couldn’t bear the thought of being confined to her hospital bed any longer.
Finally, Becca put on her sweetest voice and said “Pleeease Nurse, you’ve done such a good job of nursing me back to health. But I think seeing and speaking with someone in the same situation as myself would be reeeally therapeutic. Don’t you want me to feel better?” Becca pouted convincingly.
The Nurse was hesitant… but finally said “Alright sweetie, if you really think it will help that much, I’ll bring you to see the new girl”.
Becca was ecstatic. A few nurses strapped her into a rolling bed and pushed her out into the hall. Although she was still staring at the ceiling, the small change in scenery was wonderful for her. They rounded a corner and Becca was pushed into another hospital room. The Nurse’s struggled to lean Becca’s heavy Body Cast up against the wall. Finally, as the Nurse’s cleared out of the way, Becca could see the other poor girl trapped in a Full Body Cast. Her cast was a dark blue and, unlike Becca’s cast, was in a reclined sitting position. The girl had cute, freckled cheeks and long, black hair that fell into her face and covered one of her eyes. Erin was blushing, incredibly embarrassed, and biting her lip nervously… Becca laughed, realizing that the poor girl was probably embarrassed that the nurses had left the small cloth that covered her privates off to the side. (Erin actually didn’t realize this… and probably would’ve been completely distraught if she had).
Becca quickly decided to break the ice by saying excitedly “Hey Erin! I’m Becca! We can be Body Cast buddies!”
